Above & Below: Class Practice
During today's classes, I had an introduction to the history of photography, which I will have to spend more free time on, using the library at the university. The history of photography is the basis of my research and learning how to take it correctly. During the classes, the topic of frame was discussed with examples. What is important about it and what attracts the viewer's attention. I really liked Corinne Day's photo in which three young girls are sitting on the sofa, they look like they just came back from a party, they are young and bored with reality. Corinne Day
This photo reminded me of the sisters from Sophia Coppola's film "The Virgin Suicides". I will definitely remember it and come back to it and Corinne Day someday.
Then practical classes with the camera began on campus.
We worked in groups on campus. I took photos of my friends from the group. Later, I looked for a suitable background for my portraits, I wanted to use light. I found a bench and a red wall on which the light fell beautifully. After taking photos outside, I returned to the classroom. I downloaded the photos from the card to a prepared folder, transferred the photos from the folder to Adobe Photoshop and prepared contact sheets. I chose the photos that I thought were the best. The photos were taken with a Sony Alfa 7 camera.
