First shot, start of the project!
Yesterday, slightly tired after work, I took advantage of the moment when it wasn't raining and went outdoors with my camera. Not because I'm afraid of rain, I just had a day when I didn't want to get wet. I walked through the country park towards Scalford. Once upon a time, in Scalford, I worked in a very old hotel, and every day I walked to work admiring the rural atmosphere of the English countryside. Sometimes I stopped and looked at the distant church tower in Scalford, I was always amazed by the hills and the surrounding peace. Yesterday I walked the route again, in ankle-deep mud. I took a few photos and was thinking about what to write in a blog post about my project inspiration. I decided to dedicate a post to a brilliant photographer, Don MacCullin, because I think of him, he devoted his time to escaping the horrors of war by photographing the landscape of the English countryside in Somerset.
I don't know yet what my project will look like, whether it will be color or black and white photos. I will decide how I will collect the whole thing. Next weekend I want to visit Stepelford and the Stamford countryside, all places I like and know. My first photo is of lonely trees in the middle of pasture fields, often in beautiful weather in spring or summer. I visited this place with my friends who some time ago returned to Poland permanently, bought a house in the countryside to enjoy a quiet rural life. Under this tree, delicacies were pulled out, and Dorothy pulled out yarn and knitted gloves, hats and socks for the winter. Sometimes we continued on to Scalford, and sometimes we just lazed around under that tree.
