Creating a Website : Photography Home Page

In todays Digital Arts class, we started designing our website in Wix.com. I started the project with the home page. I log in to Wix.com and start my website design for the second time, the first time I chose the wrong template.

Then i chose the right template, it is simple and has everything I need.

The selected template enters its name "Anna O Photography".

Then I choose the font that suits me best, "Linotype Didot".

Then I change the font and type in the name of my page.

I'm removing the name of the page that was originally on the template.

I'm inserting my website name.

Once I have a name ready, I start working on the navigation bar, it should be on it: Home, Portfolio, About Me, Contact.I'll remove the unnecessary stuff that was on the template, and the navigation bar is ready.

I'm starting to change the color of my background bit by bit from black to white.

I also change the background from black to white in the navigation bar, and I also change the color of the letters from white to black.

I move the bar with the last section down.

Then I change the cover photo of the Home page.I choose a photo of my son taken a few week ago in Melton Mowbray on the steps of a charming old townhouse. I chose this photo because it was perfect weather and gold hour, it has everything I like, the right light and shadow. I had to bribe my son to pose for me and have his hair styled using a hair styler. He was bored during the session, and in this photo he looks as if he was thinking about something very important.

In the embedded photo, I am moving the name of the website "Anna O Photography" to another place.

After posting a cover photo, I edit the name of the page so that it is more visible to the viewer.

Bottom bar with bottom section, I change the background from black to white.

When the entire background is changed, I start to arrange everything in the mobile version of the website so that it is transparent.

I create another section at the top, between the section with the navigation bar and the cover photo. I am inserting a slogan in a uniform font, "Linotype Didot", it is a quote from Don McCullin's words with which I identify, I think they will fit well on my website. The quote comes from the website: Don McCullin.

The Home page is ready!
