Creating an Advert: Class Practice
Today we discussed in class and looked at different types of adverts and how they were laid out out, who the target market was and how they used logos and branding. This was to help us think about how we could make our own advert. Im looking for inspiration among travel-related advertisements...
While looking for inspiration among travel advertisements, I came across a funny and ironic advertisement for a trip to Australia, I really like this kind of dark humor. It is a parody of advertising by two London comedy writers Aaron Gillies and James Menzies who ironically show the same images and describe them in a comedic way.Australia Day
How little you would need to do in a day, and in the meantime, thanks to this new inspiration, ideas come to your mind.
I chose these two advert as inspiration for my further work because they are funny and will inspire me to create my advert as a travel with an optimistic message.

These are great advertisements and should be good inspiration for your own piece. Remember in the class we spoke about a lot of factors in the ads; colour, font, placement, language and much more. When analysing images, try to tackle as many of these as you can so that you can more deeply explain why you like, or dislike, an image.
